We're on our way (via ferry) from Seattle to Port Townsend the start of our trip.  We start pedaling tomorrow with an 80 mile day.

We spent Friday touring Seattle, visiting Pikes Market and taking the 41 second ride to the top of the Space Needle, (build in 1961 for the Worlds Fair).  The market was filled with fruit, flower and fish stands as well as all sorts souvenirs.  The needle gave us a 360 degree view of Seattle and surrounding mountains.

The weather looks very favorable for the start of our ride!

One more day before we depart for Seattle

One more day to finalize work details and to get bikes packed up.

We leave for JFK Airport at 5:00 am Thursday morning and the adventure begins.

All the same feelings prior to a big event come to light.............can we do it??  maybe we should have trained more??  will something happen during the trip that will not allow us to finish??  Will the weather be favorable or an issue??
